A Wild and Crazy Week
This is Read Across America Week. Don't forget your poem in your pocket. Be sure to have a book ready to share. All parents are invited to a "Picnic in the Quad" on Friday at 11:50.
Don't forget the Staff/Student basketball game at Boulder Creek High School on Friday at 6:30.

The Jr. Great Books' story is "Charlie". The entire school will be reading this and having shared inquiry discussions.

Science Expo: Thank you for your patience as we muddle through the process preparing for the Science Expo. Each child should now have an acceptable hypothesis and “materials and procedures” are due Mon., Feb. 4. They have the week to do their experiment and the “analysis and conclusion” are due on Monday the 11th. I will be modeling this in class next week. Be sure to gather data throughout the project. They may begin to work on their display boards when they are ready. The final project is due on Feb. 19. The students need to be prepared to present their project. Please see the rubric in their science packet.

Note to parents: Students will be receiving a homework grade on their 20/20 calendars which will be checked at the end of each week. Students who have all days signed will receive an “A” for that week. Students who are missing one signature will receive a “C”. If a student is missing two or more signatures, that student will receive a zero in the grade book for that week. Please support your students in their reading efforts.
